The answer is still no. He'll win plenty of TV trophies in the future.

But his losing streak at Ally Pally, 6 years without winning it, is surprising given his ability.

He's still as good as ever in spurts, but he just can't seem to produce that form as consistently as he did between 2015 and 2018.

He didn't look well at all tonight, Given Chizzy's obvious cold/flu like appearance maybe there is something that has done the rounds in the players lounge.

His throwing action and angle of the first dart when it enters the board is worse today. I've really noticed that. It seems to stall the dominant flow of momentum that he had 2015-2017 time.

Yep someone posted an interesting photo on twitter, the dart is pointing at the board completely differently to how it used to

Not sure how much of a factor it had, but he also changed darts supplier in early 2020.

His management has now confirmed that there is a personal issue. Hope nothing too serious.

My theory is that he couldn't handle it when his chief tormentee finally managed to give some back to him on New Year's Day 2020, he wasn't necessarily at his very best before then, but he didn't shit the bed on a regular basis like he does now. Hope everything is OK in his personal life right now

Covid lockdowns must have been a factor too. It changed's everyone's day to day habits and routines. I doubt many people have gone completely back to their 2019 normal since.

John Part almost saw the 2020 final result in advance when he said "You eventually reach the point where you've been cut so many times that you no longer fear being cut again". That accurate describes Peter Wright in the 2020 World Championship final. It was basically "What's the worst that can happen? I lose again and get cut again? Another cut? So what? Just win the damn match."
