Flat pitch mate. England will knock the runs off in no time.
Any luck?

Live by the sword die by the sword. Not a lot England can do when the umpires aren’t calling wide balls though.

A duck without facing a ball. If he wasn’t stupidly run out by Root, England would have likely won at a canter.

Not sure that first part is relevant here. England were just outplayed in the last 3 days, they didn't lose the game because they were too attacking.

I don’t think you can say a team was outplayed when they lost by 1 run. Some of the England batsman were out to aggressive shots. Fine margins, if umpires call wides correctly, England at least get a tie.

England were very poor on day 4....

You should never loose a test when you have a 224 first innings lead

I have done. So you reckon NZ winning by a solitary run constitutes being outplayed on the final day? If NZ had rattled through England and won by 80!runs then fair enough. It hardly helps when the current best batter in the world is out for 0 without facing a ball.
This test was a great advert for test cricket and Bazball has proved it works.
Over a 5 match series, England probably beat anyone especially in England as your lot will find out this summer. 🙂

I agree entirely, but the way England play this is just a mere blip.

England are big favourites for the Ashes of course. But mainly because they have more depth in batting and bowling, and they're playing at home.

But the final day would be included in that in which we clearly were not outplayed, part of days 3 and 4 I’ll grant you.

In English conditions, certainly.

The bowling attack you had this match wouldn't do much damage in Australia though.

Never mind England v NZ. What about this match between these two cricketing heavyweight nations.
