Can definitely see him having a run at the GP. Hes not inconsistent anymore like he used to be. Seems to be comfortable on stage now.
Smith has never made a TV quarter final. And in the GP, he'll play MVG in the last 16 (should they both get through). Big game and big test, anyone's beatable over set play/double in, should be a cracker should they both get through.
Different player since he beat Taylor.
I'd fancy him to beat MVG at the moment too.

not sure, mvg did choke a bit after going 3-0 up in the final yesterday, smith should not have got a sniff and mvg let him in, cannot see that happening over the longer distance, even if MVG goes to sleep for spells

He was averaging 93 after 3-4 legs. He then finished with a 93 average. Not really choking, he just maintained the same standard he was throwing; it was just Smith upped his game and took out some clinical finishes.

Fair play Smith

MVG will always up his game in the big comps. He is a winner. He will be well up for the WGP. If you like him or not prepare for him to reach at least the Semis.

While that is true, the double in format is deadly to all the top boys.

The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.
