Cabaret act, yeah, that's what LR reminds me of. My main issue with McDonald is that he increasingly veers into self-parody territory. Thankfully they seem to have stopped asking him to do anything else besides the stage gig - a few years ago at the Worlds they had him do some roving reporter style backstage bits for the Youtube channel which were completely cringeworthy.

It's always pretty obvious that Elmar Paulke's trade is primarily as a commentator, not as MC/host. I like Jacques Nieuwlaat's style and stage presence on the European Tour, although he badly needs more vocabulary - his player introductions are even more cookie-cutter than Little Richard's.

I liked him a lot. Always felt things went down a beat when he left and can't honestly think of anyone else I've ever liked at the job.
