World Snooker Champs 2012

General standard has been pretty woeful, but some of the shotmaking has been top drawer.

Ronnie apart from a few frames was awesome over the two weeks. What a loss if he does retire

its hard to see him actually doing it, very few have walked away in their peek and at the top never to return.

you could argue borg but was he at the top or merely running away from mcenroe?

we all know the size of barrys head and his liking for playing the big man.

this is one battle he cannot win with insults though, cant afford to lose ronnie.

I thought Hearn already said he didn't expect all the players to enter each event

as world champ he is automatically invited to the majors, or at least thats how it used to work. if he takes 6 months off and then doesnt win the worlds his ranking is apt to be nowhere?

if snooker is anything like darts, winning a major or two every year keeps you in the top 16 endlessly so you can pick and choose like groper and headshaker do.

If you haven't read the link, how do you know the punishment is, in your words, "touch harsh"?
