Not good enough at Q-School to get a card yes. Darius and Andreas are better than Tingstrom and Lukasiak. But the latter two got through Q-School.

What we don’t need is the likes of Tingstrom getting 3 opportunities to qualify in their first year by being in the top 8 of a secondary tour or top 5 of an affiliate tour.

Adam Gawlas used to have 5 different opportunities ffs

- Tour Card 32
- Development Tour
- East Europe Qualifier
- World Youth Championship
- TC Qualifier

Definitely a loophole in the system which would be fixed by having no TC holders at all on the DT or local qualifiers

A female German player who plays Dev Tour and went to Q-School could have:
Pro Tour 32
Challenge Tour
Development Tour
World Youth Championship
German Super League
Women's Series
Women's Matchplay

Realistically distant players need to be at a higher level before having a tour card is worth it. If the N&B players don't have cards, it's because they aren't good enough.
+1

I wish there was a female German player like that. It's one thing to have it listed like that, but in all likelihood they wouldn't get anywhere near Ally Pally with even those opportunities.

If you want to support certain regions or demographics you can't keep excluding those same people.

You add 32 extra players there is plenty room for 1 or 2 more Nordic qualifier considering the quality on that tour. It's not just about quality, it's about being diverse.

It's the world championship. It should only be about quality. The UK open is the perfect tournament for diversity and inclusivity

No point talking about that when they are adding 32 extra places to an event that is already bloated quality-wise.

Thought there was an announcement or something but thank fuck there isn’t based on the above. No chance there’d be 8 CT players PDC couldn’t give a shite about that tour, and it would be dumb anyway.

I still don’t really like this expansion, with 96 there’s a lot of dross let alone with 128. With 96 there’s plenty of opportunities to qualify as a tour card holder and no excuses if you’re not at Ally Pally. Feel like now you’ll get there easily and can assist players with getting away with a dogshit season

Much more spots for the non European tours please. 16 extra for the pro tour.

Utterly pointless giving more to the challenge tour the best players already play in almost all the PTs if they wish anyway so can qualify that way. It should award more tour cards though.

If they kept top 32 and then made it next 48 Pro Tour, 80 players. It's adding more jobbers than dross. And it would make it easier for the better CT players who can't get any ET money.
Currently 33 to 48 in the World Championship race Pro Tour list:

33 Dylan Slevin 11.5
34 James Hurrell 11.25
35 Darius Labanauskas 11.25
36 Connor Scutt 11
37 Gabriel Clemens 10.75
38 Adam Hunt 10.75
39 Owen Bates 10.75
40 Andy Boulton 10.25
41 Richard Veenstra 10.25
42 Rob Owen 10.25
43 Maik Kuivenhoven 10
44 Mensur Suljovic 10
45 Thomas Lovely 10
46 Stephen Burton 10
47 Darren Beveridge 9.5
48 Ryan Meikle 9.5

It's a bunch of yoyos, borderlines and strugglers. The real dross aren't in it.

Does having 84 tour card holders at the worlds not seem a bit inflated?

I assume Scutt will easily be top 32 because he isn't defending money. To be honest I assumed he would already be top 32 as I thought he played quite a few events last year as well?
