Lakey really needs some English players for the people they bring. The WC should definitly be in, but him not playing anything else on the WDF-tour at the moment is a bit sad. He probably gets in on points anyway, but otherwise I wouldnt be against taking away the automatic in because he won a Platinum. He has a very good starting point, and it shouldnt be hard to get into Lakeside. Or make it mandatory to play the DO and/or WM to get into Lakeside, getting him there should be the main goal. With this great title comes great responsibilty

He doesn't play on the Challenge Tour either, I don't think he plays as often due to work commitments but is at Modus this week

He has played 21 games on the CT this year, so he has played some, but not all I guess. Second highest average (90.47) after Beau (91.63) btw

Still good that he goes though, Lakey needs all the attention it can get.

Lakey could use some more English players in general, they are still better than much of the other players and usually bring in more friends/family. But now they just focus on DT, CT and maybe ADC. England needs some more tournaments perhaps to lure them in. Just one Englishman in the top 10 of the WDF ranking, 6 in the CT, 7 in DT (Beau in both CT and DT).

surely won’t hold onto it though if he enters nothing? He will play the Malta open and classic I’m sure but that’s always in like November

Disagree on them being better. They had 11 of the 48 places last year so almost a quarter.

Only 2 made the last 16 and none made the quarters. Think it’s good the WDF can be more international than the old BDO Lakey days were.
