The likelihood of new tournaments and new formats in the PDC is low, I think, seeing how full the calendar is now, and from what I gather, they're satisfied with what they have currently.
If new formats are to be tried, I suspect it'd be by Modus or an online league. From what I gather, the PDC don't want to try out anything too different from what they already offer. They don't have much space in the calendar anyway.
Dunno what everyone would think of 4-darts a turn. Possibilities of a highest 230 check-out and 240s. Could work with very good players.

That's a fantastic idea mate.
But why not play it on a Quadro board so you could have 320s?

A 8 man shootout played at 1pm on a Sunday.
Best of 7 Qfs, best of 9 Sfs and best of 11 final.

I really liked the Quadro. For the life of me I can't understand why tv channels aren't more interested in it. I've only seen clips from the ... UK Matchplay? ... Or whatever tournament they used it for, so I can't judge it on anything else.
It's only been used on TV once, hasn't it?
Has anyone played on a Quadro? Is it as good as it sounds, or a bit of a letdown?
From what I understand, the quads are so small that players usually just went for quadruple 20 or a cover quad when against the throw, and didn't risk going for them for checkouts, unless requiring a checkout like 120 in 2 darts
