Probably one more on Wednesday mate. On Sky they were saying he's there for his bowling now!

Not even in jest mate, the selectors appear to be blind towards some and totally ignore what stares them in the face

if i had to pick a worse player ever to play for england over a decent period it would have to be between pringle and chris tavare.

anyone top them?

interesting piece from stewart, i would be tempted to open with trott as i think he is made for it though stewarts point about weakening the middle order is valid. i suppose it depends whether our better players coming through are up front or lower down.

going on cold hard stats and age of the others id give joe root the nod. im all for giving youth its head.

It's taken years to nail down the number three slot and my view is to leave Trott where he is. I'd go with youth but whoever gets the nod needs a chance to bed down

it harsh to say that at 29/31 carberry and comptons time has gone, but in my view it has.

ive never seen root play, and county cricket is a sea of mediocrity so his stats may be meaningless, but id give him the nod.

with a strong 3 and 4 in bell and trott and kp, bairstow and prior to follow he could come in with slightly less pressure on his shoulders.
