Jacklin has already come out and said there are things in the pipeline that will get the BDO back on its feet. I actually believe him. It would be a lot different story if it was Croft or Wayne Williams saying that.

I apologise for the way I worded my post, I’m just sick of seeing negative after negative posts about the BDO. There are plenty of negatives in the PDC, none of that ever gets picked up though. They seem to be immune from glaring errors.

This guy offers an apology so that rules out ifm. It's readable, which rules out several others.

"True darts fan" has the intensity of some high grade butthurt, followed by some basic bitch code warring. Is it one of the Dodgyspy twins? Letham/Madsocks? I can't tell them apart.

The only ones who mention it are PDC luvvies who are absolutely obsessed with averages and use these averages to constantly belittle the BDO. I'd love to be able to throw a 98 average whilst having a 40-50 hour job and practice whenever I get a spare few hours. That's why the BDO guys get my respect more than their PDC counterparts. The PDC guys do it week in, week out full time and constantly have the TV exposure. The BDO guys mix in travelling for darts with their day job and get far less exposure to the big stage and tv as they deserve.

I bet if Jim Williams, Glen Durrant and Scott Waites get tour cards next week, they will absolutely piss it in the PDC. They won't have jobs to worry about, they will be doing it full time and more time to practice. Plus they are probably better than quite a few of the "professional" jobbers that are in the PDC Order of Merit.

As for the BDO calling it the "World Professional".............if you get wound up by something like that, then you need to walk over to the nearest mirror, look in it and give your head a wobble. I'm sure there are much more important things in the world to be worried about than what the BDO call their flagship darts tournament.

If this was the PDC, no-one would bat an eyelid. Put it down to some error or something and wave it off. However, as it’s the BDO, everyone jumps on the bandwagon. It’s boring.

Yes there have been problems, yes they have been looked at and rightly so, Jacklin is resigning at the end of the year. He’s promised stuff that hasn’t materialised so it’s time for someone else to take the reigns and get the BDO back up there.
