Is that with a burger for £8 or a separate burger with a bag of chips for £6?Randall wrote:The added joy is that all of this has been done purely to piss in the bdo chips.

This tweet sums that up really. A relaxed and uncomplicated attitude, it's almost shocking.cannibal wrote:What is interesting is Smith never was one of those loyal to a code type of guys. Jeff has always said he goes the way that gives him the best opportunities. He thought he would get sponsorship by getting the PDC tour card so he would be able to get back and do a few events, well that did not happen. So he went the most sensible way, which is what he should have done first, and went the BDO way. Then winning their got him sponsors and attention from soft tip darts people. Lo and behold now he is doing the soft tip dart thing. The Ginge Reaper wrote:Why he feels the need to explain to that bunch of precious wallflower cretins is beyond me.

Re: Jeff Smith Breaks Mushrooms Hearts
Surely the worldview of the most anti-PDC section of the BDO is now over properly? McLoyalty in the Grand Slam, Ratajski and Smith in the PDC World Championship qualifiers, many big BDO names missing from 2018 Lakeside, rumours of more BDO players being Q School attendees in January 2018.
The PDC are continuing to make political moves on the BDO's territory, and even continued BDO participation in the Grand Slam is tied into this. A lot of PDC fans ask "Why are BDO players still in the Grand Slam today?", the answer in my opinion is to whittle away more of the BDO "star power" that's left, to get it to the point where the Grand Slam becomes the biggest thing on the calendar for the top BDO players.

A jobbing dart player taking up the best options he can, regardless of code.
Can't fault him.

Yes. Compare to the farmer's anxiety when Ratajski won the masters, asking but but but will the PDC players think of him as BDO or PDC when he turns up for the Euros?!Randall wrote:A jobbing dart player taking up the best options he can, regardless of code.

Which summed up that moron in an instant.

You think it's overtaken Lakeside, or winning Lakeside, in the minds of the BDO players? If not, there's still a political use in keeping BDO players in the Grand Slam until it does become the case absolutely.M H wrote:Has been for yearsPT13 wrote:Surely the worldview of the most anti-PDC section of the BDO is now over properly? Imagine a BDO player winning the GSoD. Would be fucking unbelievable. Something which only happens once in every 50 years.PT13 wrote:You think it's overtaken Lakeshite, or winning Lakeshite, in the minds of the BDO players? Can't even be compared to Lakeside, it's much bigger in prestige.

I wonder what Scott Waites considers to be his biggest achievement in darts? Winning the 2010 Grand Slam, or something else?

Waites beat Barney, Lewis and Wade to win the GS along with a few others.
Beat Durrant, Hughes and O'Shea to win his world titles.
I'm sure which one I'd be more proud of.
