Repeats of OFaH cost next to nothing compared to an outside broadcast and probably attract more advertising revenue

There is a thread over on Digital Spy about Dave's repeat fees at the moment. Basically confirming they pay none.

Like a sad cunt I went and checked. They showed the Caribbean T20 final on the 7th August. To my knowledge they have shown no live sport since then.

To be fair both OFAH and any televised BDO event are among the greatest comedy programmes of all time so it must be a tough choice for Dave to make.

Ooh it's clearly a wham bam tennis version of Snooker Shootout, Premier League Darts, T20 Cricket and that basketball/netball thing that Matchroom have just sold to Sky. Digestible energetic sports entertainment bang on the nose. There will be heart attacks if this is preferred over proper darts.
Tie Break Tens is a short format of tennis in which only tie-breaks are played. Each match is a first-to-ten point tie break. Every tournament awards a winner-take-all cheque after a single, four-hour session of super-charged high-pressure tennis.

They have done it a few times before. £250k winner takes all, Murray has lost in 2 of the finals before.
Wont be costing them much, no broadcast of their own to host.

I've never heard of it, but then I don't follow tennis or particularly like it. It's an interesting format, a no-brainer in 2017 I guess.

Speaking of no brains, I wonder what would happen if the BDO turned the WDT into a Darts Shootout - a one-leg sudden death massacre tournament, men and women mixed.

Well, more people would watch it. They can't make it much worse than the current state of it.
I'd be very interested in this event.

Yeah, not without its problems I'm sure but it's a fun format and I wish the PDC would find a way of doing it. They must have considered it at some point.

I really hope this happens, top 32 or even top 64, either a one leg shootout, or maybe bring back the News of the World format. I'm sure it would be a big success, and I don't know why there isn't already an event like this. They must have toyed with the idea.

Just flicked through today's schedule. No Only Fools and Horses on Dave today. When do they show it, please?
