Not really. His opening is a classic response to the Queen's Gambit which I played.

The only way he would know it is if he were a competitive player himself and had studied it. The Nimzo-Indian defence is not something one plays accidently.

I will put the game through a chess computer (graded 2800) when we're done. That will show what's happening, if anything.

The game is equally balanced. I'm not suggesting anything yet other than you are a highly graded player. And if that is the case, then I should know you.

Chess doesn't stimulate me enough for me to bother playing competitively. I've played a lot online, which is where I have learned a lot of my moves from.
