You could try drying your eyes and supporting a team that wins European cups, just for a night.M H wrote:What if like me, you have an illogical intense dislike of United?
Meh, i'd rather suppport my local club all day, even if it means winning fuck all.Knots & crosses wrote:You could try drying your eyes and supporting a team that wins European cups, just for a night.M H wrote:What if like me, you have an illogical intense dislike of United?
You know, since yours, and indeed no London club, never has.

No, I don't think so. I've got nothing in common with either team. My best mate is an avid Man Utd supporter and I sort of want them to win for him but want them to lose so I can take the piss. I suppose ultimately, if it's a good game and the better team wins, whoever that is on the night, then I'll be happy.D & B wrote:But if you had no other reason is that not a good enough reason to support United?mrsheen wrote:I'm completely undecided. I can think of better reasons to decide than wanting a team to win because their stadium is built on the same island I was born on?
(not aimed at you Gaz, cos I know it's a different island, but this was the post that raised "wanting the british team to win")
People tell me there were cup finals in 73 and 74. I'm sure this can't be right...Furious Wolfie 180 wrote:37 years...Dartfrog wrote:If Sunderland did win trophies you'd be lost and have nothing to complain about. It's probably a good thing.![]()

Read the same thing. I cannot blame anybody wanting to leave Arsenal right now as their lack of top signings has been dreadful in recent yearsKnots & crosses wrote:Rumours abound that Nasri has refused to even negotiate a new contract & handed in a transfer request.
