Me and a mate wrote a letter to the Beeb in the 80s asking if it would be repeated and we actually got a letter back. Days before emails :)
Hadn't checked for many years but I see it is all uploaded on youtube now. (Guy from Blake7 was in it)
Probably a pile of shite but we found it hilarious at the time.

There's darts leagues in most Devon towns with more than 15,000 people. Additionally, many Devon pubs show darts when it's on TV. Various pro and ex pro darts players have been from Devon

A bit of 23rd July 1988 for Randy. Our hero (not Barrymore) in a plum Saturday night slot on BBC1. :)

Also the cover of that edition of the RT. Making fun of a speech impediment, there, tut tut.

Never realised Barrymore was on the BBC, you learn something every day. Sadly missed on TV screens.

For some reason I am reminded of the Pacific island that put a load of darts players on coins. I recall Darryl Fitton was one of them.

Imagine if they showed cartoons on ITV at 7.30pm now. Would be a bit odd.
