Heard an interesting concept on something that could be used in tournament format from someone just now....

A tournament where once the draw is done, Each match one player picks a ball or card which represents the format....So you could have 301,501,701 either straight or double start, The 2nd player picks the distance from a ball or card so you could say have it as best of 3,5,7,9 etc and this process is repeated for the entirety of the tournament with either a draw bracket format or redraw each round.

Personally I think it would be a lot of faffing around but also think something like this if well organized could be quite fun, You could end up with say a semi final match being drawn out at best of 3 x 301 straight start and the other semi final being best of 9 x 701 double start.

Good news, Mark is a great guy and definitely good enough to compete on the tour. Probably won't get to the business end of big events but could be a solid top 32-48 level operator

McGeeney is decent and I suspect he'll be there or thereabouts at Q School. Might take a full year of CT for him to get back to tour level imo
