Enough was enough for me.
Not much support from the lads, little team spirit all round so time for a break from it.
Considering my options for the summer league as will want to keep playing.

Time will tell where the Mabbsy arrows are thrown in the future :D
In the lakeshite lake along with Gandos by the sound of things.

No point in playing if you don't enjoy it mate
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

Yeah exactly, it was becoming more and more of a chore to be honest.
Shame as they're a decent bunch of lads i was team-mates with for 3 years but i was never convinced that they were that bothered about our results.
Promoted to the A league 2 seasons ago and we finished rock bottom but no-one really seemed to care apart from yours truly. Been a mediocre season in the B this time round and again, no-one was really concerned, some even said it'll do us good to go down to the C league !!!!

I always made a point of being at our home venue at least an hour before the start to have a couple of beers and a good practice while most of the team racked up 15 minutes before the start, chucked half a dozen arrows, had a chat about this and that, then moaned later that there darts weren't quite on it that night !!!!

Ces't la vie......only a game hey :D

I know that feeling. We haven't played a league match for nearly a month, next match is next week and we're up against one of the teams also challenging for the league title, and we're (potentially as the website hasn't been updated for 2 matches) 6 points behind the league leaders with 2 games in hand and we're still to play them; yet very few have been out for practice and even though we arranged to meet last night only 3 of us turned up. Similar thing with people turning up 15 minutes before the game starts. Oh well, guess I can only focus on my own game :)

off to donate some money to darts players with spines tomorrow, snow storm permitting.
I'm such a jellyfish, but I got talked into shooting cricket doubles as a favor to a friend.
I'll say hey to big daddy for everyone here.
will test my nerves in 501 singles too as long as I'm out.
let's see, it's air punch, wing flap, snarl
or is it snarl, wing flap, air punch?
hope I don't blow it.
maybe I should write the order down on my arm so I don't forget it?
if you have any advice for me or shoot well wishes, post them here please.

I have nothing to brag about.
sorry for wasting your time, folks.
mods, please move the post above to the "loser" thread.
I'm not going to give you excuses because, well,
I haven't thought of any yet that don't seem downright silly.
you reap what you throw, as the old dart saying goes.
spoke with Jimmy Widmayer. he's playing martin a.dams next week in the darts trophy tournament.
he's hoping. so am I.

no one could hear my knees knocking.
the trick is to wear 3 pairs of pants. it really muffles the sound.

I thought my fears were going to come true tonight when we went 2-1 down in the pairs. But we won the final pairs then went on to win 7 of the 8 singles and the 8's to win 10-3 which against a team also pushing to win the division is brilliant.

Need to keep it up next week

Winter league now finished and our lot finished 8th out of 10 having forfeited the last 2 games as they couldn't raise a side.

Dismal.

We started the league like that struggling to find a team but we've improved since then and won half our matches and looks as if we'll have a second team next season..

I threw 6 perfect darts to win a 301 game, double in-double out, Saturday night!
thank-you. thank-you.

This is where I should probably mention that my doubles partner hit a 44 in between my in and my out.

hit another ton 80 tonight in league.
knew one was coming as I had hit 4 trip 20's in a row earlier. 140 followed by a 135.
I then proceeded to go back into my suckdom, yet lucky mode.
7-1 on the night. including 3 cricket games.
into the playoffs next week, scheduled for st. patty's day! what were they thinking?
the bars will be so crowded you won't be able to walk.
setting up an alternative day.

3 matches to go, 2 points behind the leaders and we play them next week......what's the cliche? Every game's a cup final?
