Second nomination for KoTW - Warwickshire Darts, for moving a fixture against Cheshire forward by two weeks to allow one player going to the World Cup to play in it, totally ignoring the other 71 other players involved in the fixture.

One player being unavailable or available should not be dictating the scheduling of matches, no matter if he wants it rescheduling or not.
There are 71 other players involved, for fucks sake.

Just noticed SEVEN other fixtures have also been moved from the 31st October, probably for the same reasons, most sides involved will have zero or one player missing. Dear fucking god.
The domestic Rugby Union season started at the weekend, if England were still in the main event then many players will have had players missing, bet they wouldnt have gone crying about it to get fixtures postponed.

Some of the "Best players" dont bother playing county every week anyway, so I cant really see the issue.

You dont have to play every County match to be eligible for England selection. And you know as well as I do that the top 2/4/6/12 (whatever) players on the averages table are never selected.

Im not sitting there and working it out

you know the "criteria" as well as me: for England you have to play two thirds of England games (so you can miss 3/9) before you are even considered. Nowhere does it say you have to play the lot. Nowhere.
And after that, the averages are used as a "guide". They never just look at the table and pick the highest eligible players. There is a player from Staffs who is 4th on the table and the 3rd highest Englishman, as an example. OK its early days but at the end of the season, if he still is in 4th, I bet he never gets picked for nothing more than the 12 man team.
