Re: Boxing
Bit before my time, but I don't mind their Dads.
I can tolerate Eubank Jnr, but not Benn.

Re: Boxing
Never liked Benn at all, although his win over McClellan is one of the greatest ever by a British fighter in recent times. Bar that win i never really rated him.
His son Connor for me comes across as vile and odious.

Oddly enough I posted the night of that fight in the tv listings thread today. It was 30 years ago last night:HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 2:40 pmNever liked Benn at all, although his win over McClellan is one of the greatest ever by a British fighter in recent times.

Eubank Snr was playing an act.Randall wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 3:17 pmYou were either benn or eubank and Sr was a prize cuntHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 2:40 pmNever liked Benn at all, although his win over McClellan is one of the greatest ever by a British fighter in recent times. Nigel Benn will probably go down as Britain’s 4th best ever Super MW
Calzaghe
Froch
Eubank
The above 3 were better fighters for me.
A prime Robin Reid, James De Gale, George Groves and Billy Joe Saunders would all give Benn a good fight. I think BJS would beat him and the others certainly could.

Re: Boxing
One of the best fights I’ve ever seen. Sadly there were tragic circumstances.

It's difficult to separate the real Eubank Sr from the act. He clearly has issues.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 4:12 pmEubank Snr was playing an act.Randall wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 3:17 pmYou were either benn or eubank and Sr was a prize cuntHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 2:40 pmNever liked Benn at all, although his win over McClellan is one of the greatest ever by a British fighter in recent times. I don't think there was much between Eubank and Benn in terms of their careers.
Froch and Calzaghe are clear of both. Joe was clearly the most skilled of the four. I would pick peak Calzaghe to beat all the names you mentioned.

Re: Boxing
I saw Benn in the gym a couple of months ago and i think 5'8 is probably a stretch. I can't see how Eubank Jr doesn't win with the physical advantages he possesses

Also a Paul Linwood enjoyer

Re: Boxing
Jr was never an elite level MW and is probably past his best.
Conor is probably British level.
The whole spectacle is punching way above its weight.
