Of course the dream is Tomoya Goto. Edward Shoji Foulkes, Haruki Muramatsu or Seigo Asada getting a card but any Japanese player would do.
Over or under 1.5 Japanese players entering? Who would they be if so?

I’d say Foulkes is a no chance. Other 3 maybe but feels unlikely

Wouldn’t mind seeing a Mongolian as they seem to like their darts
I heard there was a Mongolian kid getting decent results in JDC events, but nothing remotely tour card ready yet. Goto surely the best chance Japan has of getting a card, no idea if he'd travel or even if he has any motivation to do so (I remember Zeyes posted about Asada's Taylor-like domination of his soft-tip tour back home a few years ago, no idea if Goto earns anything like that in soft-tip, but he's been getting good results in steel-tip)

Addicks Fan wrote: Fri Jan 05, 2024 2:14 am Don't know if this has already been posted, but confirmed free entries to Q-School as per PDPA website. Only two women giving it a go:

FREE QS ENTRIES INTO FIRST STAGE (8)
The players below, have accepted a FREE QS place into their respective Q-Schools and into the first phase due to their positions on the final WS or N&B tables.

All names below (First & Final Stage) will be entered manually by the PDC on or after the deadline date, so if you look at your account and see you're not entered yet don't worry, it will be.

Women's Series (2): Fallon Sherrock (UK), Noa-Lynn van Leuven (EU)
Nordic & Baltic (5): Marko Kantele (EU), Jeffrey de Graaf (EU), Benjamin Drue Reuss (EU), Paavo Myler (EU), Mindaugas Barauskas (EU)
Honorary Member (1): John Part (UK)

FREE QS ENTRIES INTO FINAL STAGE (23)
The players below, have accepted a FREE QS place into their respective Q-Schools and into the final phase due to their positions on the final CT or DT tables.

Challenge Tour (13): John Henderson (UK), Andy Boulton (UK), Dom Taylor (UK), James Hurrell (UK), Dragutin Horvat (EU), Thibault Tricole (EU), Chris Landman (EU), Wesley Plaisier (EU), Darryl Pilgrim (UK), Robert Grundy (UK), Scott Mitchell (UK), Conan Whitehead (UK), Christian Kist (EU). Development Tour (8): Sebastian Bialecki (EU) Bradley Brooks (UK), Cam Crabtree (UK), Jarred Cole (UK), Bradley Roes (EU), Christopher Toonders (EU), Rusty-Jake Rodriguez (EU), Dominik Gruelllich (EU)
Nordic & Baltic (2): Vladimir Andersen (EU), Krzysztof Chmielewski (EU)
Pleased to see Jeffrey de Graaf enter, he hasn't done this in a long time, but winning on the N&B tour (and £25k from Ally Pally!) seems to have helped him. Didn't expect Beau to enter, but I'm starting to wonder about her endgame, she said she didn't want to do Ally Pally because she wanted to be a multiple world champion, well she's done that, now what?

Good to see Fallon and Noa-Lynn giving it a go.
Yes but disappointing not to see others

You have to have ambition to get your game up to a higher level

No reason for them not to try at least, with free entry guaranteed

Time off work may be an issue with some. (Set amount for tournaments they can win etc) we don't know the circumstances even if its free entry.

Don’t want to sound like a Thornpost but I was hoping to see more of the womens players take a shot at it considering they’ve got free entry. Sure some might have work etc but they’ve played the womens series all year knowing that was one of the rewards at the end. There’s only 2 women in the world I think are capable of winning a card atm but it would’ve still been good experience for most of them

Well said mate. Even if they won't win a card, just playing on the Challenge Tour would be worth it for the free entry. Everyone in the top 8 is at least a solid mid 70s player. Although if you do the WDF tour as well the schedule might be too much with CT+Women's Series

A World Championship, Another couple of TV tournaments and maybe more Womens Series events.

Some don't feel the need to play on the Challenge Tour (limited amount of money in the minefield) its only Fallon Sherrock who is deeply interested in playing with the men, But we don't know the Q School list there may be a few others who have entered.

It's been obvious for a while that Thorn has issues with women.

Fortunately I don’t think he engages with them in the real world. Though he might go full Elliot Rodger. At least then we’d know what country he lives in.

Fallon Sherrock has it right. Playing against the men is more likely to increase female dart players' standards of play. Just playing against each other alone won't do it.

Krzysztof Chmielewski? A Polish player who has never played Nordic and Baltic tour. Someone has messed up this list.

14 players for Hungary is exceptional. I don't see any obvious big names missing, anyone?
