103 and 100 averages, hardly mediocre.
Not bad but also not special. More than 25% of the players have an above 100 average today.

Completely absurd claim, Smith or RVB are far worse

1. That's not true

2. Even if it was true, being in the top 25% is hardly average.

3. Out of the 14 players who are through, only 3 have hit 100+ averages in both games.

4. Any statistics you look at suggest MVG is still one of the best players this year.

A tad irrelevant perhaps but what is the actual correct way to pronounce Jose de Sousa?

I've heard Jose, Hose, Yose and de Sooosa, de Sowwsa and de Sosa. I don't think even commentators know themselves as Pyke, Oatley and Mardle have all been inconsistent as fuck with the pronunciation across two channels.

From the man himself:

"Jose de Sosa"
2020 World Grand Prix Lucky Dip winner!
2x 2019 Q-School Lucky Dip winner!

Both as valuable as the Lakeside piss pot!

Probably...that and playing the Mental health card earlier this year..
Exactly, it seems to be a trend with the young players now.
they hit a bad spell, the all of a sudden they have mental health issues

When he won 6-0 against SEVEN(!) years younger amateur Gawlas he was feeling allright I guess.
