Don’t think Gando was ever ‘fucked’, he just didn’t play as much but I think doing the hard yards back on the ProTour has helped him. Chizzy has been very consistent on the ProTour these last few years so unless his form collapses (not impossible if this injury doesn’t clear up), he’ll still be in and around the top 8. Dimitri has had a very odd year, he’s been absolutely shocking on the ProTour, but has won a TV title and done well in the other TV events, like a deluxe version of the player he was before he won the Matchplay, unless he defends semi-final money at the Worlds he’s bound to drop in the rankings but I reckon he’ll bounce back. Wade is inevitable, and he’s still not that old, so you fancy he’ll stick around where he is for a few years moreDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:17 pmDepends who you define as "old guard"
Anderson- has just put in his best TV performance in years and looks like he'll be top 10 in no time.
Wade- is also on the up and will be top 8 this time next year.
Van Gerwen- has been poor for a while but did reach the Matchplay final and is always solid at the Worlds.
Cross- has hoovered up QFs this year and is a top 4 player.
However,
Wright is finished. Michael Smith and Aspinall both need to win something urgently. Aspinall especially is royally fucked in the long-term rankings. Price needs to find motivation.
I'd say the likes of Chizzy, Clayton, Bunting, Van den Bergh, Noppert, Dobey, Heta, will loiter between 8-16 for the next year or two.
De Decker will be top 16 before long. Van Veen and Edhouse not far behind.
I remember he did get a very hefty fine (think it might have been the biggest in DRA history), did he get a suspension? Seem to recall he got a suspended suspension which never got activatedsennafan24 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:42 pm "The bastard deserves a hefty fine and a two month suspension.
He clearly obstructed Gary not once but twice.
For a little less than that Jackpot was suspended from the Qualifiers earlier this year.
I'm sorry but I'm very angry."
Price was fined £21,500 initially, which also included incidents in the Whitlock quarter final and Suljovic semi final. The fine was later reduced to something like £11,000. Anderson shoved Price on the oche, and got no fine.thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:48 pmI remember he did get a very hefty fine (think it might have been the biggest in DRA history), did he get a suspension? Don't really think Wade is on the way up really, his scoring can't live with other players at the top. He's still got good performances in him but he's simply not as clinical anymore.DeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:17 pmDepends who you define as "old guard"

Wade is provisionally 7th on the Matchplay table and 6th on the WGP list. His performances haven't been amazing but he's winning games where everyone around him is struggling on tv.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2024 10:59 pmDon't really think Wade is on the way up really, his scoring can't live with other players at the top. Aspinall will be completely fine, 2023 Matchplay champion yet he gets spoken about like he's won nothing for years. His injury has obviously impacted this year but hopefully he's through it
