Rather someone from Hungary or Czechia

Realistically Poland have the best chance with Bialecki, but Kovacs/Sedlak surely fancy their chances… but no matter as Norbert Attard will be qualifying!

Bialecki is the favourite but the Czech have better depth

It's not been rare since Covid, Reyes has quit the PDC, they haven't always held a qualifying event (would have been hard to socially distance that gigantic event!), plus their qualifier 2 years ago had to pull out due to a positive test

Shame that but they still had Alcinas and Justicia they were always solid but not spectacular

I pray now Tony Martinez makes it through PDPA qualifier

Spanish players were present in the PDC world championship from around 2008-2020ish if my research is correct.
I think Carlos Rodriguez was the first one.

Sedlacek surely the favourite there, he absolutely marmalised the region last season and hasn't embarrassed himself on the ProTour this season

I suppose it's very lucky for the PDC that José has emerged as a top player when he did as the Iberian region, long one of the strongest in the world outside of the UK and the Netherlands, has really suffered in recent years

Great that West Europe has survived. Say what you will about the Dutch getting so many chances, but their strength in depth (TC and not) is that good, they almost deserve a spot solely devoted to them.

Slightly weird that they didn't just outright say the Youth spot is going to PDPA- are they biding time if Littler wins, his international spot could transfer to World Youth and his DT spot is transferred to the next best on that table- Nathan Rafferty?

France, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Italy and more deserve a chance
Jeffrey's a good player, but in light of this, I think the Nordic/Baltic region is very lucky to have 2 spots when the entire rest of Europe is allocated 3, Germany getting a spot I can understand as it's a huge market with an ever growing pool of players

He does

But players in Year 1 of their card or Year 2 and outside the top 64, are allowed to play in these.

Sedlacek, Kciuk, Szaganski and Rusty Jake Rodriguez are all eligible for this

Rowby-Jane and Boris Krcmar are not.

I forgot some tour card holders were eligible. I like Sedlacek, Szaganski and Kcuik but think it’d be better if a nontc qualified

Surely there's too many spots for Asia these days. 9 spots, almost a third of all international qualifiers.

Growing the game yes but think about the chances of them actually winning a match at Ally Pally compared to someone from France/Spain or even the old Tom Kirby qualifier.

Austria, befitting of its history perhaps, has been in the Eastern European qualifier, but is in the West this season

Asia is a huge region - bigger the area = bigger the growth of international darts.
Soft tip darts is a huge market in Asia as well so maybe going off that there may be more players wanting to switch to steel tip.
I don't disagree with observations that suggest 9 spots are too many but from a solely business point of view I can understand why the PDC have so many qualifying spots for Asia.
