MvG only has about 17 years of playing the way he is to become the GOAT. Tall ask indeed.
Goat yes Taylor still has that, but Gerwen has already won this World Title then after that he can close down on the goat.

My decision to sack off the final with work early doors, the correct one.
Reading this thread a lot more interesting than the actual game I suspect, some interesting stuff.

The BBC do a small piece after every PDC TV event nowadays. This one even mentions the date and time of the Worlds draw. Maroon fades to black.
Totally forgot about this.. Second tournament I forgot about and missed this year, other was the UK Open

The set format is a leveller. It gives greater weight to your mentality of taking key legs (and your response when failing to take them), and slightly less to your pure darting talent. With the legs format, you can just put your head down until you reach the finish line. Not so easy to do with sets.

The reason Cross lost to MVG so much this year was because of his dips for 3 legs. He lost a set of two 3-0 and it didn't matter. Got to love set play.

Me either, only the 3rd time I've ever seen both on a 9 dart checkout too, both on 141, Manley was in a match where it happened once, as was Priestley, think he was playing Taylor.
Seem to recall that a couple of times, king v barney one of them I think?
Think you're right.
At the piss Palace I think.
Taylor was involved in one against wade I think.
Correcto! 2008 Matchplay Final, Lanning and Waddell on it:
Another! Also found the Barney-King one mentioned above.
