Fair fucks to Price, didn’t think he’d break his duck over such a long format. The latter stages of the Worlds are even longer, but it’s got to do his confidence the world of goo that

I reckon this one is the most unpredictable of all. MvG could storm it or be dicked first round. Price is the form horse right now but many could come through the pack and cause a shock. Really looking forward to this

This
Still think MVG is the man to beat and wouldn't rule out Cross in the set format Tumor,Wright,Gurney and Wade seem to struggle at the worlds Anderson realy needs to practice for 3 weeks solid. Chizzy,Aspinall and Durrant are decent prices and have been very consistent this year. Mensur is in no sort of form but hasn't played that much so god knows and then you have Smith who in inconsistent but seems to do well at the Worlds. Out of the outsiders De Zwaan,Ratajski,Lewis,Clayton,Clemens are probably the most in form.

MvG is clear favourite, obvsSafc wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2019 6:05 pmThis

Cross/Price, take your pick for second favourite, Price much better in winning his major than Cross, but the Worlds format does suit Cross better, plus Price could have a much harder last 32 game if Duzza stays in his provisional 30th place in the seedings
Duzza, Chizzy, Wright and Smith could go far, but have question marks about their bottle (though in fairness Duzza and Chizzy have shown better bottle than I would have expected at times this year, and Wright's normally OK when he doesn't play MvG)
Gurney and Aspinall may be a slight bit below in terms of pure ability, though I'd trust them more when it comes to the crunch
Looks like Mensur and Wade peaked too soon this year, their good results on the tour seem a long time ago now

Re: Who’s Your Tip Right Now For The Worlds?
Took a quick look at the provisional setup, this is how I would rank them (I don't know a lot bout darts compared to you tho):
MvG is the man to beat. But he has shown the past year that he is beatable.
Cross and Price are world number 2 and 3 for a reason at the moment. Price has been more inconsistent than Cross for me, but there's also a lot of pressure on Cross. So it seems to me quite likely that none of the three already mentioned are going to win.
After this, it's probably Smith, Gurney, Chizzy and the Asp but I don't think any of those could do well at the Worlds for once (Gurney and Chizzy aren't always good) or replicate their achievement from last year (Smith, Chizzy and Asp all got pretty far)
Who knows what Ando could do if he gets back to form. It hasn't looked good at times and I think he's missing experience having not played a lot this year, but if there's anybody with experience in the field it's him.
I think if White gets over the line at the worlds and wins a few rounds I could see him reach his first semi here and might even win.
Wright, Wade, Suljovic, Lewis, Whitlock, all with notable experience but can't see them get far. Maybe Wright could do better than the last two years and reach the quarters or further. I still haven't found my pick inside the top 16 since Cullen and Clayton don't seem good picks.
Alright I won't discuss everyone from here on but there's a few I'd like to talk about:
Wattimena was close to beating Anderson last year. His rapid pace might kill his action, he could either get on a run or lose first round.
Webster, Hopp, Beaton, West, Bergh, Barneveld, all out of form.
Assuming someone from the top 32 will win, my picks would be (besides MvG, Price and Cross) Gurney, Bunting, Duzza and Clemens.
Other names that the top 32 should watch out for:
Hughes, de Sousa, Vince de Vance de Fought, Huybrechts, Payne, Ilagan, Koltsov, Razma. Something like that.
Phew. Quite the list.

Rob Cross, still think he is the second best there is right now. Price is edging closer but huge recency bias going on right now, behind MVG and Cross I don't think there is much at all between Price, Wright, Gurney and Chisnall.

Oh please.
Time and time again he has shown that at the most crucial points in matches, his arse falls out. The added pressure of it being the Worlds will only accelerate that process.
