I forgot about that. I might drop in and o you know what, I can't be arsed. The limited time I have for cricket will be channeled into good cricket.

Hmm, so do I watch the live tennis mens final or do I watch full delayed coverage of Guyana Amazon Warriors vs St Kitts & Nevis Patriots?

A tough decision, this...

Dave looks to expand sports coverage
The UKTV channel is poised to sign a "big live contract" to add to its current staples of boxing and darts

Dave, TV’s home of the modern British lad, looks like it will be expanding its coverage of live sport, RadioTimes.com can reveal.

Currently showing Caribbean Premier League cricket, and having previously screened BDO darts and David Hay's return to the boxing ring, the channel has bigger fish to fry and is in talks to land a "big live contract" later in the year, it is understood.

General manager Steve North tells us: "We are actively looking at a couple of sporting opportunities. We see live sport as an increasingly important part of the channel's output."

Sky and BT look out - there’s a new player in town and viewers are on first name terms with him.

What else is out there that isn't boxing, darts or cricket? The rights to nothing "huge" have expired or about to expire as far as I know.

I know Sky have dropped the US Open tennis but that was secondary rights from Eurosport so they will probably just show the lot this year.
None of the NFL contracts are up for renewal in this country this time around. Same goes for cricket, golf, other tennis.

Must be for one of the football leagues. Or for more darts.

If they have "bigger fish to fry" then that cannot possibly mean more darts. That is unless uncle Baz has cut a deal with them.

Imagine the gimp cunts reactions if that was the case

Well yes I suppose they don't see the darts and boxing as overly important compared to what is about to come.

Champions League tender for three seasons starting 2018/2019 is due to start soon. Surely not? :D

"Bigger fish to fry"? Bigger than the BDO World Trophy? That narrows it down.

How did this go, then?

Oh, and:
We see live sport as an increasingly important part of the channel's output
The last live sport they showed, to my knowledge, was back in the summer!

Got me a horrible feeling that the "big live contract" for "sport" was this:

Dave bulks up its lineup with Ultimate Strongman
http://corporate.uktv.co.uk/news/articl ... strongman/
The two hour programme will be recorded in front of a live audience on 10 December, airing on Dave on 30 December.
Not exactly live then. Or sport. Or big. Fucksake.

Maybe they have finally realised they can make more money showing repeats.
