THE 1ST FARTGATE - PHIL 'THE PARPER' Rivals claim darts star puts them off by breaking wind.
Taylor - 11 times world champion - is said to gain an unfair advantage by regularly trumping during major tournaments.
Rival Alex Roy claims his tactics stink and wants organisers to clamp down on his farting.
He said: "Phil is a great player, but the fact is he is very flatulent.
"It is hard enough trying to concentrate, but when there is a horrific stench filling your nostrils it's even worse.
"I suppose he can't help it. I don't know what his pre-match meal is but maybe he should consider changing it."
Taylor - who has dominated the game for more than a decade - hit back last night saying: "He who smelt it, dealt it. I am clean. I am a gentleman and I would never resort to such underhand tactics.
"The only aroma around me is the sweet smell of success." The Power is odds-on to clinch a record 12th title at Purfleet, Essex, and has cruised through early rounds .
He has recently shed much of his bulk with a programme of healthy eating and light exercise. But his new, high-fibre diet has had a nasty side-effect, according to other players.
Roy, who lost 4-0 to Taylor in the third round of the Ladbrokes world championships, says: "Phil claims he was busy practising over Christmas but if you ask me he was busy gorging himself on Brussels sprouts.
"Everyone trumps, but there is a time and a place for it. He shouldn't do it on stage - it's unprofessional.
"I thought the ref was about to keel over and the people in the front row were right in the firing line.
"I don't want to be known as a whistleblower, but it is time someone piped up about his parping."

''Lloyd appeared to have given up, tossing away all three darts on one turn"
lol. Well, those lads may have made no money but they are fortunate to have dodged the age of social media having its evil say on their crazy japes.

Just watched the final. Some things
- Commentary was excellent, Waddell, Gwynne & Lanning were almost at the peak of the powers
- The interval music was "Crazy for You" by Let Loose
- Waddell taking a dig at Bobby George who was knocked out at the Embassy earlier in the day saying "That's Showbiz"
- Sky Sports in 1995 looks dated today but was ahead in its coverage compared to the BBC
- Taylor was 7 darts in to a 9 darter, "Only ever been done twice in 12 years" barked Sid has Taylor hit 2 180s.
- Harrington had the crowd on his side, But it was a respectful crowd, a few shouts but you could hear the clinking of glasses a lot
- Taylor having a slight dig at no prize for the 9 darter "Lowe won 102,000, Lim 50,000 i would have got through to the next leg"
- Taylor had 2 interviews one on stage and one in the studio but in the studio he was with Presenter Jeff Stelling, Gwynne & Waddell. Gwynne already saying "The best player i've ever seen"
On Stage Taylor was disappointed that Eric Bristow wasn't there
- Dave Lanning interviewed John Lowe & Cliff Lazerenko (Rogg may have uploaded the clip last year) Lowe was adamant he will win another world title "Taylor has 3 like me so its a race to the 4th" Cliff said he wanted to live longer than John Lowe.
- At the end Stelling was bemoaning the failure of England Cricketers & Footballers over the past years and hailed Taylor, it was followed by a montage of the funny moments of the World Championship with "Land of Hope and Glory" has the song.
All in All i enjoyed the match (Was 3rd set in), a bygone era which was a bit more special now the commentators have sadly died.
