So is Wright but you like him :D
Although there have been points where I’ve agreed with VVDV in interviews, he’s still a moaning, miserable git

He is by far the biggest TV final jobber, but has made way too many later stages to be classed as a TV jobber

Kim Huybrechts is another who has a shit TV record. 1 PC final and a couple of semis. Never got past the last 16 at Blackpool either

Not my formal nominations but honourable mentions. Some of the following have won one TV event, but done absolutely nothing else major (results) on stage. Some of the following have had long careers, which is commendable in itself. But we're talking jobbers and each of the below have form for hoovering up on the floor (or smaller events) and then cacking it on tv.

Damon Heta
Dirk van Duijvenbode
Ross Smith
Josh Rock (so far)
Kim Huybrechts
Vincent van der Voort
Steve Beaton
Jermaine Wattimena
Rowby John Rodriguez
Steve Lennon (how has nobody mentioned him yet??)
Keane Barry
Mickey Mansell
Ted Evetts
Adam Hunt
Andy Boulton
John Henderson
Richard North
Ronnie Baxter (sorry Mabbsy)
Alan Tabern
Colin Osborne
Andy Smith (see Steve Lennon)
Matt Clark
Dean Winstanley
Steve Brown
Magnus Caris
Warren Parry
Royden Lam
Marko Kantele
Wesley Harms
Ross Montgomery
Jeff Smith
Nick Kenny
John Michael
Martin Atkins (Leeds)
Dennis Harbour
Garry Thompson
Remco van Eijden

I think a lot of them just aren’t good enough at the highest level rather than it being a bottling thing. Smudger has won a tv title as well not that long ago so think that’s quite harsh, he’s been a bit unlucky in some games as well

I think the problem with Lennon and Barry is they have not been at regular tv events like the Matchplay and Grand Prix.

Vinny, Wattimena, West etc played at them years on the bounce

As Malt says, Smudger doesn't belong on there, nor do any of the other recent emergers, and some of those just aren't good enough. If we're just talking PDC, then Beaton is the king of the jobbers, but he won Lakeside in a very strong field. Kantele is very annoying, he's been one of, if not the best player in the Nordic/Baltic region for yonks, but he's always been a complete jobber, someone like Ilagan who has a similar TV record at least has the excuse that he's never been able to base himself in Europe

Smudger's most unfortunate result was versus Dirk at the Worlds year before last.

He just about deserved to lose vs Dobey this year but he was great in that game.

I'm going off his pre Euro win and other 2023 tv performances.

- Beat MVG at the European Championship (gonna say 2019?) but cacked it vs Ricky Evans the round after.

- Beaten comfortably by out of sorts Rob Cross (who lost to debutant Rydz in a shitfest the round after) at the 2021 Matchplay.

- Defending champion at the Euros last year but beaten handsomely in R1 by Pikachu.

- Only won two games at the 2023 Matchplay, Euros, WGP and UK Open combined.

- Only one TV QF apart from his Euros win in 3 years as a top 32 standard player.

One of my favourite players but I feel he's still a bit of a jobber.

I don't think Justin Pipe is a jobber, he regularly had good runs.

Anthony Fleet. He famously hit double 1 when aiming for the treble 20.
