MVG won the 2016 PL while averaging over 105 on finals night. Even Wade averaged over 90 on finals night in 2009, and Headshaker averaged over 95 in 2014.

Not a good look for the game tonight.
Let it go Senna ๐Ÿ˜‚His name is on the trophy and thatโ€™s all that matters. You and I both know Duzza can play better than that, but he won the league stage and won two games tonight. That is fact.๐Ÿ˜€
Facts are that was the worst standard for a PL winner in history.

I was wrong when I said Duzza would not win a PDC TV event. But tonight did little to prove me wrong me wrong about him in general.

Duzza is a legend. This may be the biggest achievement in his career. Fair play to him

No one would have thought this

Although tonight's standard was piss-poor, there is no doubt that his victory tonight was the greatest of his career.

It easily trumps his 3 Lakeside titles .

There is somewhat of a power vacuum right now at the top. There is no clear number one. Most would say Price based on last week but where the hell has he been other than that? The top players are all erratic and inconsistent, which obviously will result in more surprise results and lower standard at the business end of comps. The other option is someone dominating e.g MVG or Taylor. Depends entirely on which option you like, it's a personal preference thing. You won't get different winners and unpredictability while everyone is averaging 100+. Can't have your cake and eat it.

Fair points.

Price is certainly the best on current form.

What I donโ€™t get with yourself though and it seems others is there seems to be a personal dislike of the man. If you donโ€™t like him as a player fair enough, but come on Senna if you ever met him you might think he was an alright bloke.

You can only beat what's put in front of you
It's not his fault everyone else kept missing
Any other pl year he wouldn't have won but with 250k in the bank I doubt very much he gives a fuck.

He's just dull and overrated really.

Headshaker, Warty, Gurney, Mitchell, etc are all worse.

MVG on form is clearly the best player and by a distance imo. I do think he will come back and win several premier events and I believe he will win the worlds again. The rest of this season is going to be interesting.
