Yes they did but somewhat different situation. Last year it was in April and PDC allowed fresh card holders to play.

With this they are putting restrictions on non card holders as well
I'm not sure what power the PDC actually has to require that non-card holders make a choice. The WDF statement made themselves sound just absolutely helpless to do anything about it so it seems that's the end of the matter.

What Oche wanted:

25 to 50% of the PDC's roster to build a WDF army.

What Oche got:

A diminished field for Lakey.

Any player that's in the Lakey draw will be removed from Pally and replaced. They don't need more power than that.

It’s the correct decision, and excellent news that Beau knows what side her bread is buttered. She’s not good against the men anyway.

I support PDC decisions more often than not. I see the reasoning but I can't like it as they are shafting over 2 of the biggest young talents out there. This will realistically always affect women, youth players and international qualifiers the worst, therefore hurting disadvantaged groups that need more support from the system. I think at least the women should be allowed since the PDC has no women's world championship. Also the timing is not good, this could have been stated much earlier.

How many Lakeside qualifiers have a realistic chance of qualifying for Ally Pally? Danny Lauby, Ben Robb, any others?

I can't imagine that any male player expected or in 30 years has ever expected to play both. No change on that front.

The only development today is that it now applies to women too. The PDC clearly sees the birds as significant assets for the first time. If you want to see them this Christmas, you'll have to pay us for the privilege.

Robb and Puha have the best chance I reckon at the New Zealand qualifier.

Plaisier is 7th in the Challenge Tour rankings so with a few runs he could get into top 2

Lauby hasn't qualified as the CDC qualifiers are done. Spellman, Buntz and Cameron took the spots.

O'Sullivan or Ashton should they overtake Fallon in the Women's Series

LML is in the German Superleague

Assuming the last 2 unannounced PDC qualifiers are East and South Europe, the likes of Tricole, Kovacs, Kadar, Bialecki and Pratnemer would have a chance

Going to be a kick in the teeth if she does go to the dark side.
The best player in the Women's series. She won't be getting any invites to the World Series.

West Europe would include the likes of Baetens, Plaisier, Klaasen, Landman, Merkx, Blom, Olde Kalter, Konterman and Bottenberg

Baetens would be unlikely to play it but the others I'd say are likely

Darth Beau? Well if the PDC were desperate for her involvement at Ally Pally then it was easy to have her.

She has a Slam spot for sure so I suspect that may satisfy her curiosity and nudge her to lakeland but I know nothing. As usual, one might add.

With the effort put into the women's series it will go to 4th place you would hope.
That will cause some seething.

But they didn't specify that so would be another jack boot reaction. So you would hope she can still turn up for that.
