This tournament is interesting on paper but always manages to become just about one of the flattest. Way too many jobbers are let in.

Should have stayed at top 32 players
At the same time it's nice to have a bigger event though, all the others are 32 players. And the 2 board setup means we don't have to endure all the shit games. I don't know, it's just a bit underwhelming at times. Being the very last event before the worlds, after a very busy few months probably doesn't help it either.

it was too give a reward for some players on tour, Its not a bad thing really as half the games arent on TV

They did change the format and made it worse. The crowd is split between 2 boards and sometimes this takes away from the main stage(won't matter this year of course)
