Gripe I have is that a player like Chizzy who reached a major tv major is overlooked for someone like Gurney who hasn’t exactly ripped up any trees this year. It now says if you reach a major final you won’t be in with a chance
Not to mention the fact he's far better to watch than Gurney.
Exactly. I’m not Chizzy’s biggest fan but his game has improved this year since his switch to Harrows. Hits tons of 180s and is susceptible to missing doubles

Don’t the
PDC have a rule whereby you have to be 16 to play in their events?

Durrant's inclusion is obviously reminding me of the time they put Bunting in back in 2015 after he got to the Worlds quarters as BDO champ. Can only hope it doesn't send him down the same route it did with Stephen.

Do agree that Chisnall has been unfortunate to miss out at the expense of Durrant though.

Durrant's inclusion for me was never in any doubt. I thought it was Gurney that would miss out. After the way Sky have hyped Glen, and the fact that he did have a very good year meant he was a certainty for a spot.
The only Mervert in town.

Yeah, that's true. It must have been Gurney making the PL & Matchplay semis which got him invited. I'm sure Barry said Glen was the PDC's wildcard pick and the rest Sky's.

I think Duzza deserves it. I’ve never known a player come across from the BDO with so much expectation, and to be fair to Duzza he has done well. As I’ve stated previously, in my opinion he will win at least 1 PDC major in the next 3 years.

Think Duzza has a bit more about him than Bunting, even if I don't think he'll have much more longevity. Harsh on Chizzy, could be considered a little unlucky last year, but this year he's done even better, shame for him that there were only 9 spots on offer

It's a polar mission to 9 for Randy. He has a task naming 9 players in the history of the game whom he both rates and enjoys watching. Then there's his added complication that they all have to be in hot form at the same time. Nightmare!

Chizzy would have brightened up proceedings. Would have been picked had they done a straight 10.

no wildcards, no challengers simply take the top 10 of the order of merit plain simple.

Chizzy(fan) will be cursing Jeffrey, first for denying him a run at Ally Pally, secondly for being one ninth of the 'highly successful' Contenders idea last year...

Yes let's get White and Wade in :?

But it's a two year system, your way we'd get guys like Wade in who haven't done much this year. Even the one-year list is flawed, this version of Gary Anderson is still a lot more value than Ian White, what someone does on the ProTour shouldn't count for much

I agree, even tho Durrant is dull as dishwater and keeps trying to convince himself and everyone else he belongs there
