What the hell is a proper darts audience these days anyways?

I would class 'proper darts' in a professional sense as the PDC as the vast majority of the worlds best players are there. That means the audience who watch these players are by default the audience for proper darts.

Those who fell asleep on the couch after Sunday dinner and too lazy to change the channel no doubt all proper audience.

Those hundreds of thousands that actually pay good money to go to PL nights, and sessions at the Ally Pally. Grand Slam, Fill out Dublin for the Grand Prix etc, they are not real fan, they all ended up there by accident.

Those that get sky simply to watch darts like the world champs over the Christmas are not fans either I guess

Worth noting that the bdo cant pull a decent crowd, or tv viewing figures, outside of lakeside.
