It's novelty betting, you can't put any serious money on it. They were running bets for "Who killed Lucy Beale" in Eastenders for months, it's the same deal.

They've been doing it for a few years now. You pretty much know who's going to win most matches from watching the television and set the lines accordingly. Within an hour or so of the show the odds in every match will become very lop-sided as "insiders" leak the results.

By the time the public know that John Cena is booked to win against Rusev, Cena will be 1/50 to win. No one is taking those odds.

the guy rusev is 11/2, dont recall anyone mentioning a limit on how much you can stake.

When the undertaker lost to lesner I am sure lesner was a fairly big price, what was stopping wrestling insiders from making vast profits ?

On the likes of paddypower you can only bet enough to win a couple of hundred pound on the matches. You'd be lucky to be able to get more than £30 on Rusev at that price.

There's a website called wweleaks which tracks all the odds.

The Undertaker was always a big favourite at Wrestlemania, because of "The Streak", so naturally people assumed he'd win again and his initial price reflected that. On the day of the show Lesnar was 1/4 by match time.

The likes of that happens quite often, where watching the product would indicate that one wrestler was going to win. When the books open that wrestler will be the favourite, sometimes heavily.

At the end of the day though, these odds are based on educated guesses from watching the product and nothing concrete from the men in charge.

In a darts context, it'd be a bit like being able to bet on who'd get picked for the Premier League. From following the sport you'd have a decent idea of who was a cert and who was a decent outsider.

Then say hypothetically an hour before Barry announced it on Sky one of his underlings texted the line-up out to his mates. All of a sudden there's a flood of bets on Kim Huybrechts, and he goes from a 10/1 outsider to 1/50 on.
