Chelsea might be worth a cheeky bet ( to all you gamblers out there) for the PL title next season.

If he can decide on his best 11/16 they have a chance, sometimes makes too many changes

Maresca has done a good job. They don't have the players to compete for the title yet but i think they will be in the mix. I think the Title race will be more wide open next season.

Chelsea are the first foreign team in 24 years to beat a Spanish side in a European final. Wtf. Apparently true.

The last time(s) was in 2001:

CL final: Bayern beat Valencia.
UEFA Cup final: Liverpool beat Alaves.

I would have thought Sevilla would have lost one of their countless Europa finals. So they are 7/7.

They are 7/7.

Espanyol and Athletic Bilbao have lost Europa League finals in that time, but to other Spanish clubs.

The only Spanish club to lose a Champions League final since 2001 is Atletico Madrid, twice, to Real Madrid.

The stat does not include Super Cups.

Sevilla turned only 1 of their 7 Europa League wins into a Super Cup win. Look at Ted Evetts over there.
