According to Eddie Hearn, the viewing figures for this were "off the charts".

I was examining your profile pic... Champions League winner and World Matchplay champion, there. Do people generally remember that DVdB had already made a (non-youth) TV final before, beating MVG and Ando along the way? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_German_Darts_Masters
The World Series events get lost in time which is fair enough but I think they can still leave a mark on players. He climbed a big hill that weekend by his standards.

Changed, but I'm also not forgetting my first darting love! (apart from Alex Roy and Mark Walsh probably lol). That was a great weekend (Karius Champions League final night as well), thought he'd kick on there and then, but it proved a rather torturous road from there!Rogg wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 3:31 pmCome on then!thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 10:27 pmMethinks a new profile pic is on the cards...Rogg wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 10:26 pm 5 different winners in five years. Hopefully we get wade vs Ando and it would be hilarious seeing Price demolish Lewis in the 2nd round.
Rob Cross v Gabriel Clemens, Peter Wright v Jose De Sousa,Glen Durrant v Jeffrey de Zwaan, Nathan Aspinall v Dimitri Van den Bergh and Michael Smith v Jonny Clayton could be good matches if the underdogs turn up.
