I don't think he'd have won without the ott shenanigans. Gary's fault for letting it rile him he played right into his hands.

I expected a different picture. Then again that would mean an instant ban.

We've had a text from James Wade saying they are filming an early exit for him from the worlds so there you go.... note that .. Wadey is often pissed but seems to be going quite straight at the mo , so its probably legit ..he wont be arsed , he can spend more time in his garage , he likes nothing better than messing about with an engine , drinking stella or red wine and listening to The Bay City Rollers
Do you frequent the Hampton area? Played a team from there in my league last season and one of their players told me an anecdote about Wade and mentioned 3 times how he’d rather be messing about with an engine. Sounding very similar.

Also, hi everyone. Long time lurker, first time poster.
That would be Ginge ;) ;)

Tonight's session could be a bit of a damp squib if the Stoke boys don't turn up with their game.

I agree i expect MVG to be a similar to the Chizzy game in scoreline the other 3 games who knows.

Bipolar Pete v Fatpot both can be decent or total shit so could be one sided either way or a close one

Tumor v Webster you would expect Tumor would win comfortably but Webster has got a decent record against him and did play decent in the group got to score good to have any chance .

Anderson v Thorn both not in any form realy but both played well in the group if Anderson scores he wins for me.

Hopeful if anything about tonight. Not expecting White to put up much of a fight, but if Webster can maintain the kind of form he's shown this past week or so, and if Gando isn't on top form, we could be in for a decent pair of ties there. Expecting a mix of the sublime and the ridiculous from Lewis and Wade, preferably with Lewis ending up victorious

It's hardly rare for White to give MVG a game, including on stage where he's beaten him 3 times in the last 2 years or so (Europe).

There was an epic Matchplay quarter-final which I think White led 6-1, then 10-10, 13-16.

Can't be bovvd looking up the head to head but it's probably reasonably decent for Whitey, considering who they both are.

Are ET events even that relevant when talking about TV events? I mean, it's great stage experience for a lot of up and coming players, making them that bit more comfortable in the big events, but there are plenty of players who are great in Europe yet always seem to disappoint in front of the TV cameras

Yes true it's not neat and tidy but combined with a couple of close TV games it's a shade enough of something for me not to assume like most that it's simply an inevitable cunting. White making a game of it is a possibility not to be dismissed all that easily. 10-0, then, yes.

Really hope fatpot shows up.
Yes, we give him a lot of stick but its born out of frustration.
Everyone here would like to see him back at his best I'm sure.
