Can't get enough of this delicious post.

How far do Thornton's World Grand Prix (beating MVG in final) and UK Open (beating Taylor in final) combined carry him in Wolfie's direction?

Not far off if we are being honest.

And Wade was at his best in 2007-2012. (We'll excuse that semi final against Lewis)
Had the misfortune of running into Taylor all the time.
But then, who didn't?
Due to Windgate, Wade has got to be the unluckiest player to never win a world title. If they don’t go off the stage, Wade beats Lewis and I’m certain Wade would have beaten Hamilton in the final.
Sure, if Windgate doesn't happen, he becomes world champion, but Lewis had to cope with it too, and he didn't just completely implode. IIRC, after Wade missed those match darts, he didn't win a single leg, and I don't remember Lewis going into turbo mode
It was Lewis who was remonstrating not Wade. It was after the break where Wade went off the boil.
It's been years since i have watched it because it's my least fav match of all time but didn't wade win a couple of sets after the break to go 5-1 up?.

The match was won but then he went to shit, especially after he missed D18 to win 6-2 or 6-3.

Anyway good luck to Dimi, would be nice to have a new winner of a major.

Top 15 I might agree
Even Wrights 1 world title probably holds more credence than Adams 3.
Wade's PDC majors hold more credence than Adams' 3 Lakeside titles.
Adam's at least won his while the bdo wasnt a laughing stock but I'd probably agree.
Durrants aren't worth shit.
Eh?

The BDO was a shambles in 2010 and 2011.

Even when Adams won it in 2007, he didn't play particularly well. He only averaged over 95 once in the entire tournament.

Taylor, RVB and Andy Hamilton were all playing better darts in the PDC Worlds.
The Adam's winning fields contained king, whitlock, webster, anderson etc.
Durrants fields had nothing in.

Other than King, he didn't face any of them though.

All of his opponents averaged below 90 other than O'Shea in the first round.

The only point I was really making is that they are worth more than durrants.
Nobody would have Adam's above bob anderson, part, priestley etc If they know anything about darts

None of them are top 10 either
My top 10 would look something like this:

Taylor
Bristow
MVG
Lowe
Gary Anderson
RVB
Priestley
Wilson
Bob Anderson
Adi Lewis

So aye, agreed.

Bloody hell mine is

Taylor
Bristow
MVG
RVG
Lowe
Anderson
Priestly
Wilson
Bob Anderson
Lewis

Could not include myself because i have not won a World title

Seen nothing so far from Anderson on the board that suggests it.
The occasion may get to dimi.

Must admit I fancy Anderson to win in a close match, the way Dimi has handled himself is commendable, but I think a bit of experience and too much dawdling at the wrong time will cost Dimi, he's great though it's great to see him doing so well, awesome that he's got to World Grand Prix and Grand Slam now too!

Scott Waites?? A part time player who got to two PDC finals winning one.
Plus Duzza has come over and done well. He is easily top 8 probably top 5 currently. He will win at least 1 PDC major in my opinion.

Regarding Wade, I can see arguments for putting him anywhere between 8-12 someone said he was top 15-20. Come on it’s not even debatable he is top 15 he certainly isn’t lower.
