Well it did matter and might in Merv's next match against Noppie, He allowed him to get into his head and it constantly distracted Merv and what he should have done instead was to play him at his own game by doing the same with the only difference being that if Merv had done then he would have blocked him from throwing until he had passed him...Merv was not impeded when the other fella was walking in the exclusion zone where as Merv would have easily impeded him had he done the same in return.
