Re: Premier League 2020
Sounds like to me that this will be a massive kick in the balls to either Gurney (most likely in my opinion) or Chisnall (who I think is probably in despite being on the wrong end of the de Zwaan thriller)

Of course, I meant last 2 spots.BeppeBergomi wrote: ↑Sun Dec 29, 2019 11:26 pmIt's 9 Main Players vs 9 Contenders one each week ThornThe Thorn wrote:Hope they pick some different players but at the same time you can't really pick 9. There are up and coming players such as Hughes, De Sousa, Ratajski but they aren't too young, not sure if the PDC would want them. Not too many new youngsters on the scene compared to last year.
As for the main field, every underdog at the Worlds is out so we can kind of make our mind up. Top 6 and Aspinall are nailed on to be in. I'd say it's Chizzy, Gurney and Durrant for the last 3 spots. On merit I'd drop Gurney but he's the highest ranked of the 3 though.

Re: Premier League 2020
I think the top 8 in the rankings now are pretty much certain, with possibly Gurney the only exception.
I think Duzza might get one of the sky picks..
Now that the PDC have changed the contenders to challengers..
Could this be their way of sneaking Barney into one of the Rotterdam nights???
I hope not, but wouldn't be surprised

The 2020 Unibet Premier League will feature nine 'Challengers' in a return to the successful format of the 2019 tournament.
There were some incredible reactions last year. Who was it on here who managed to decide to boycott all the contender games?

Duzza went deep at the Matchplay, Grand Prix, Slam and Worlds. All the Sky events. Sky will pick him as one of the 9 if they need to, yes.tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 12:32 am I think the top 8 in the rankings now are pretty much certain, with possibly Gurney the only exception.

Ah yes, my early forum days. That whole boycott thing didn't last too long. The contenders wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, yet not as good as some made out.
The only Mervert in town.

I'm pretty certain he would have been in anyway.
But that's Wright guaranteed for the Premier League.

He'd be in as a Sky Pick.Jimmi wrote:I'm pretty certain he would have been in anyway.

Now Sky must choose someone else. My take for the Sky picks would be Gary and Duzza.

Rather they gave it to Chizzy than Durrant.

Chizzy (due to reaching a major final)
Durrant (because Sky absolutely rim him)

Wouldn't put it past them to still put Gurney in and Chizzy as a challenger in Liverpool

If they put Chizzy in as a challenger than I expect Jackpot to be in also as one of the nine challengers.....Safc wrote:Wouldn't put it past them to still put Gurney in and Chizzy as a challenger in Liverpool
