i didnt pay much attention.
They polled 10% higher in the Euros mate. I think this means that where they have a possibility of power the public just doesn't trust them which is why they were weaker in the locals

i wondered if the voting systems skewed it but clearly people are voting differently according to what the area of concern is.

its pretty much as you would expect. still be surprised if they got any mps in truth.

It's also worth bearing in mind the Lib Dems are no longer the party of protest as they're part of the coalition so UKIP will obviously pick up those votes. Come the general election I expect them to fall back again as it actually matters

the lib dems are fucked, they were as soon as they went into the coalition.

be interesting to see how the two parties campaign come the general election given their alliance.

Won't happen mate as the British only tend to protest when it really doesn't matter. The vast majority in the European Parliament are moderate right and left of centre so nothing changes there.

Agree entirely about the Libs mate and it's quite funny watching the stage managed spats between both parties as time runs out.

the difference in the votes between euro/local suggest come the real thing they will struggle to hold their vote.

labour are doing well merely by not being in power rather than any of their policies which are window dressing at best.

the conservatives being on the right should find it very easy to move onto ukip grounds if they had any balls.

the libs are heading for meltdown. had 5 years of "power" at the expense of any suggestion of principals.

The riots in the 70's and 80's never helped the National Front so I doubt it would help UKIP now mate. Reality call!

No I'm not mate as Flange did that far better than I could on LBC recently. They've had a free ride so far and I'm interesting in seeing how they cope when the pressure's on.

Nope.

What Arthur and Gravy said earlier made sense, but the people I know in real life who voted UKIP are all racists and wouldn't have put any thought into their vote other than "send the buggers back". Farage is clever enough to play to that constituency whilst having plausible deniability.

I agree. But those who want to work and put into the society should be welcomed. Those who sponge should be fucked off before they land. Having said that, there are plenty of homegrown spongers too so we don't need anymore. This country has always been a melting pot and I don't see any problem with that as long as controls are in place - it shouldn't be down to the likes of my brother to dump a dozen of them in the middle of France.

There is the nail on the head mate. Flange gave it away once when he slagged off the Romanians but seemed to get away with it.

UKIP will have to put more people on view and when they do that's when the wheels will come off.

I don't care who lives next to me as long as they leave me and mine in peace. I guess we could always build camps for anyone that doesn't want to be repatriated? Keep them all in one place till.........
