Two weeks now
Still no money
Would it not be better to go to a branch and kick off ?
Nobody in the branch will give you the time of day
It's been 1 cock up after another
Now waiting for a "senior complaints manager " to ring
They offered me another 75 quid
I said put a nought on the end and I might think about it.

7.5k has vanished from one of my savings accounts
I rang to ask wtf is going on.
Apparently they've put me a cheque in the post with a letter to explain it.
You can call me, you can email me, you can message me on the app. You can do something
I'm so not impressed
A week later.
No cheque
No letter
No explanation
I'm expected to wait up to 14 business days for it to arrive
You must have breached the terms of the account in some way for that to happen.
I've had accounts closed before and banks will never give an explanation.
You're lucky they've offered 75 which is 1% of the amount. Fuck off expecting them to give you 10% when it hasn't even been 3 weeks.

Revolut summarily closed my account with no explanation, and then asked someone who had transferred me money (an insignificant amount, share of a lunch bill) about the "nature of the transactions" with me
Took 6 weeks before they sent me a cheque for the £200 or so in the account. Cowboys.

I mistakenly invested to much money in one financial year in one account.
The fiasco that has followed I fully expect to negotiate a decent sum on top of the 75 they already gave me as an apology.

Fiasco?
They sent a letter and a cheque. And you didn't wait the time they said it would take before you started moaning about it.

Of course you on the other side of the world are in full possession of the facts and know better than me who is going through the process

I know exactly what you have posted here.
Has it been 14 business days since the money disappeared yet? You definitely started complaining to them before it had been.
Even if the money takes a month to arrive, £75 is 12% annual interest on it.
Good luck getting any more.

The guy I spoke to said he understood my anger but that's just how the system is set up.
Any which way you look at it I've lost the interest on the amount they've removed as the window has closed fo put money Into it even of they subsequently find they are in error.
They weren't in error. You said that earlier. And 9 business days since you first posted.
I'll bet the letter and cheque arrives in the next 5.
You don't half enjoy a moan.

I've worked in customer complaints, I know how things work in business. And I know entitled customers.
Everything here is your doing. The initial error and all the back and forth within the original timeframe they gave for the cheque and letter. You can't complain about that 'fiasco' as you initiated it all rather than waiting.
I assume you have the money back now as you mentioned they were cancelling the cheque and putting it into another account. And they've given you 12% annual interest.
Not sure what i am missing but I'm sure it's still 90% of all the horrible treatment you've had to endure.

They've already acknowledged they have fucked up and offered twice what you suggest would be the maximum so I'll take my chances

24% annual interest? You poor thing.
And apart from not telling you when you first contacted them they could cancel the cheque and put the money in another account, how have they fucked up?

I certainly won't be settling for 24%
