2. Van Barneveld missing the doubles at D18/D9 for 2-2 vs Taylor in the 2009 final, Taylor might still have won but It would have been closer as that destroyed Barney for a few years.

3. Mason beating Hankey in 2000 Embassy, Win and he would have beaten Baxter. I feel that Mason's career would have been a lot different and he would still be playing today

4. Ian White busting 20 vs Gerwyn Price, who then hits a 160 checkout in the last leg. White would have had a better majors record then he does now
It's "things we will never know".

Not "things I think would have happened".

Anyway, a proper one.

We will never know how many titles Taylor would have won had Bristow not contacted the yips.

The filter for Lakeside is off now lol. Paul Hogan I'm pretty sure would never have won anything, he's a bit of a choker, if anything he perhaps should have won the Indigo but blew a massive opportunity when he was playing so well. Don't think the 09 final would have gone any differently, Taylor was just in the zone that day. Maybe Mason would have won, but there's a reason he didn't so it's hard to tell. Pretty sure White would still have been a TV disappointment, he's since made a TV semi, yet it hasn't changed him much, if at all

What top players, some of whom we might not even know about now, were lost to the game with all the upheaval of the split?

Besides, it wasn't just the 09 World Final that "destroyed RVB".

If anything, it was that embarrassing speech he gave after Taylor beat him at the Desert Classic later in the year.
