Lurpak Atkins and Fitton are in the last 64 though?
Disappointing to see mad Cammy go out to Simon Preston. Also Rusty-Jake plays Roxy-James which is rather strange.
I've forgotten about Fitton.

He is useless.
The "main" Atkins doesn't participate today.
I knew that, hence the specification of "Lurpak".
Good to see Berry van Peer winning a game as well.

Okay mate.
Meanwhile Hughes out too, only Fitton and the Lurpak remains.

Martin Atkins (Wigan) is out as well, another disastrous day for them.

Calling oche. Is the Challenge Tour now 'a massive lottery' too? These lads have spent their lives playing short format floor knockout. Not interested in the old men but Hughes, Smith and Menzies... time to wake up.

Hughes & Menzies going out very early in Challenge Tour. If the Trend continues its sends a bad signal
Both players were #bdo top 10 and both failed to gain tour cards and they lost to players who will not trouble the PDC top 64 (cont) #pdc #darts

Van Peer goes marching on into the last 8! Would be great to see him get a de facto tour card, fair play to him for even entering events with his problems

A bit of a shift. There would be no excuses for failing to reach the top of the Challenge Tour OoM. 20 events is ample opportunity for a good player to shine through the muck.

Things are a bit tougher if you're not getting three 65 average pub players to start off the tournament because you're a seed.

Berry and JDC Jarred into the semis. Fabulous. Frosty to win then.

exactly and that is why these slags didn't make the cut to the show. All about playing more and becoming consistent all in a professional environment of serious players. Much harder or impossible to achieve that on the weekend warrior tour clogged up by a bunch of drunken pub players in the early rounds wasting time of the serious players. Look there is a place for drunk weekend warriors clogging things up, it just isn't in a professional tour.
So it looks like the only members of the North American contingent that want to take this shit seriously are Fatum, MacNeil, and Smith. No Lauby, not surprised but still disappointed as if USA wants a player with a real chance to become a really good player they need some young committed talent, because it isn't coming from the old guard of players. They had their shot and have done next to nothing, they aren't that good and they aren't going to get good over night. After like 15 years it is obvious what the old guard of USA darts is made of (a cold wet limp noodle) and staying there and coming over for the PDC crumbs isn't the way to go. Playing CDC isn't going to cut it either, that is only going to create another mid 80's player.
Diogo is a player worth watching his progression, seriously think another year on the CT will do him good. Harris making the sacrifice would like to see him do well, tho not a player I particularly like to watch.
Has to easily be the best quality field on the CT since it started. Ending the year a top of this pile of jobbers should legitimately qualify one as the top jobber.

Jarred Cole v Simon Preston final.
It could have been better. But at least it's not Frosty The Throw Man in the final.

Good to see Jarred Cole doing well in this environment. I know its a long way off, but it would be Pretty amazing if he obtained tour card at the end of the year!
