Just looked, it was 180 121. At 5-5 with Mensur on an easy finish. Proof Chizzy has bottle.

Good topic to think about. Barry and the lads are genius at putting it in a pretty box but the natural capacity for drama in a game of darts is a gift that they could never have dreamt up. The perfect kit for making great stories when the darts aren't falling out and the lights stay on.

Nicholson took out a lot of 100+ outshots in that match. Clinical finishing, to win 10-9, breaking Taylor's throw in the last leg.

Scott Rand with a 170 out to beat Barney a few years back after pausing and looking back at the crowd after the first two darts.

They have a clip of Tony ayers checking 152 against Wade at 8-9 down in a race to ten that fits the bill.
Looked to have been in Bolton one year.

A great moment. I can't recall Ayres ever doing anything else significant.

i cant recall ayers at all to be honest.

The end of this final was quite brutal. 23mins. Only one treble but a great bull shot. Benito averaged about 110 in this, poor bugger.

Vassos pissing his pants at darts of this quality. Was it just me or did he seem slightly more tolerable over this tournament rather than his BDO stints?

He didn't really stand out at the weekend, was absorbed by the others.
