At this point, the full misery of Dolan and Pipe in tv events had yet to be inflicted upon us. And did this forum even exist yet?

Look at how a couple of years ago both beaton and part won a euro event....with the likes of taylor and lewis missing, that 20k first prize at the time got those players into every major for the remainder of the year.

Bow putting aside any personal dislike for those players, it is right however a winner of a euro comp should get access to the other events
True. Until October last year Norris was struggling as much as James Wilson and Robbie Green to make money in the PDC. That pro tour win gave him a leg up. He has pulled well clear of the Job squad. Joe Murnan hasn't taken as good an advantage out of his pro tour win.

I can't even remember who Chris Thompson is.

Mark Hylton looked like he could have been a player once upon a time.

Just dropping this in - the difference between the Pro Tour 16 qualifiers for the 2011 Worlds compared to 2016 is huge in two particular ways.

2011 v 2016, keeping them in Pro Tour ranking order:

Steve Farmer - Alan Norris
Richie Burnett - Gerwyn Price
Steve Brown - Joe Murnan
Justin Pipe - Daryl Gurney
Tony Eccles - Keegan Brown
Dennis Smith - Max Hopp
Nigel Heydon - Rowby-John Rodriguez
Brendan Dolan - Christian Kist
Steve Hine - Cristo Reyes
Steve Maish - David Pallett
Kevin McDine - Ronny Huybrechts
Mark Hylton - Dirk van Duijvenbode
Chris Thompson - Jeffrey de Zwaan
Peter Wright - Kyle Anderson
Steve Evans - Joe Cullen
Joe Cullen - Darren Webster

...from every floor qualifier being Britain/Ireland based in 2011, by 2016 an international line-up is represented via the PDC floor/Euro stage. The average age has also dropped like a stone by the look of it. Hopp for Dennis Smith, Reyes for Hine etc. is the success of the PDC's expansion. Weirdly Cullen is in nearly exactly the same spot in both lists.

Wayne Jones at number 13?!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Jaws had dropped down the rankings a lot sooner than 2011.

Yeah some of those guys in the 2011 list essentially qualified because they were there and the tournament needed 72 players, not because they had proper potential and not because they tore up the PDC for a year. Dare I say it was something like a travel club...

At the time I would have thought it was a great line-up, but looking back, disgusting. Goes to show the progress that has been made since, with the Euro players espexially given good seats, on which note thankfully the orgs never merged or the PDC worlds have been swamped with extra northern cloggers hanging on for dear life. We'd still be trying to get rid of Garry Thompson.

At the 2011 worlds Dolan was ranked 35 in the main OoM, Pipe 54. Pipe got into the top 10 eventually with Dolan not far behind. Suljovic's turn next.

Who the heck was Chris Thompson?

Anyway, looking at that list makes me grateful for the rankings of today.

Jones had a great run on TV in the second half of 2010. He made the semis at his home evnt the GSOD, the final of the Euros and a couple of other quarter finals.

Lloyd hung around long enough to give goblin era MVG a decent game at the Matchplay about 2-3 years ago.

Another post where Adam shows everyone yet again how he knows zero were it not for google.
Taylor had it so handy in that year 2011 he won the world title with ease.......oh wait...he didn't win it

I am sure Adam rather than accept he is spouting more retarded bullshit will next claim priestley, barney, wade and other players from a decade ago were all shit cos google wont provide him with enough stats.

He claims taylor is in his prime today when he aint won a comp in almost 2 years
but when he was winning comps it was because he played nothing, despite taylor racking up comp averages in the past over 110.

At least when oche was shown up to be the spastic he is, he accepted it and stopped digging when in a hole, adams the rentboy reminds me of potbelly, unable ever to admit he is wrong and will keep posting contradictory posts over and over to try convince himself
