staring at anything for long periods must cause eye strain, the smaller the area you are focusing on must increase the strain to my mind.

Interesting article. Seems to say short focus is short focus no matter what. I probably can't tell anyway as I've been staring at bright light at work for 21 years now.

I met her in the early 80's just before she died, she was opening an amusement arcade in Blackwood but even though her figure had gone she had this aura and presence, beautiful and lovely lady

any thought for most over rated books?

i read we have always lived in the castle by shirley jackson after good reviews but found it terrible.

not as bad as ghost story by peter straub though.

my girlfriend brought me a james patterson book called "violets are blue"......its fucking shit!!!! i cant actually remember starting a book and not finishing it but i think im going to have to throw this and watch a shit detective film from the early 90s.

I'm reading Stevie 'Pele' Paterson's book right now.
Lad from Elgin who signed for Man United, was Aberdeen manager for a bit and went awol as he was a massive alchy and gambler, s'ok so far.

'It's only a movie' by Mark Kermode.

thats one of the early and much better pattersons, dont read the latter day stuff that bears his name for godsake!

taking some sam scarrow books on holiday they seem ok....dont really read a lot of fiction but these are quite good
