I've taken both Ram out and still nothing, right bastard to get to as well. I took both Ram out at the same time as suggested and switched it on, would the comp still work without the Ram installed?
My guess is the MOBO, going to get someone to take a look and see if it is saveable.

Probably not worth saving mate. I reckon the life of a comp is about three years so you got your money's worth.
My lap top's coming up three years now and I'm copying the important stuff to a memory stick expecting it to let me down

Was thinking the same to be honest.
I think I moved all the kids vids and photos onto discs but I'm not entirely sure, I would like to get a 2nd chance to ensure that I have. If I haven't and can't get the comp working again, its been nice knowing you all.

Everything on the hard drive can be recovered mate. Take it to your local nick, tell them you had Pep Gary Glitter round for dinner and it wont cost a penny!

my is eleven years old.
Same processor, Fans, motherboard...........only thing I changed is the graphics card around a year ago, and the hard drive a couple of weeks ago.At the time it was built it was worth over 5k at the time due to the parts i has installed,,,,,,but like everything parts and technology got cheaper as it became more popular.
Will be getting a new pc in the next 3 weeks, and keep this one as a spare
