Rileys being binned doesnt surprise me, but that is quite the song and dance for just one qualifier.

It's basically a whole series of Welsh oranjebar starting next month. How interesting.

Riley's might still be involved in other regions I guess.

In Barrs' last interview with Matt Porter at the launch of "Darts on Your Doorstep" he asked about implications for the Rileys qualifiers. Porter said Rileys had been a good partner but noted that they don't have venues everywhere.

That implied that there could still be Rileys qualifiers, but they would have some qualifiers at other venues in regions where Riley's doesn't have a venue.

Seems like we have our first example.

Spot on Oche, Rileys Managers were informed last week that Rileys had lost the gig, PDC markers were informed at the qualifier on Monday that the PDC will be directly holding UK Open qualifiers over 2 days in MK and Wigan (2 tournaments per day at each venue) - MK will be on Monday 20th Jan and Wigan will be on Sunday 9th Feb, seems that different venues all non Rileys will also be holding additional qualifiers over a number of weeks where a certain amount of players qualify for a finals night where 1 player from each venue will get a spot in Minehead

Spot on Oche, Rileys Managers were informed last week that Rileys had lost the gig, PDC markers were informed at the qualifier on Monday that the UK Open qualifiers will be held over 2 days in MK and Wigan (2 tournaments per day at each venue) - I believe that the MK qualifier will be on a Monday but not sure about Wigan.

So people get a typical PDC weekend experience.
Oh and still not dealing with the regional problem.
