105 quid a go for the euro quals. Should smash the entry numbers to bits.

Sad that entry fees will be going up. But respect to them and good to see the PDC acknowledging it. It's great for the game.

Re: 2024 PDC Affiliate Tours
At the expense of less entries. Not many people are going to pay £105 to play in a euro tour qualifier

Re: 2024 PDC Affiliate Tours
Something which I don't believe was posted is that regional tour winners in the Nordic/Baltic region, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia will go through automatically to the final stage of Q-School next year. If the tour winner declines, the invite goes to the runner-up, but won't go down any further if the runner-up declines too. Interesting, will save the players a few bob as they're not having to spend a week in MK/Kalkar, but likewise, sometimes it's good to get warmed up in stage 1

Re: 2024 PDC Affiliate Tours
Shouldn't affect the top players as players who lose in the latter stages of ET qualifiers get some pocket money. Sounds like it was a PDC decision to get rid of free entry, if so it's a nice little carrot from the PDC NBTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 1:33 pm

Re: 2024 PDC Affiliate Tours
I think they will care most about the not having to travel early and so can save money, and maybe even more importantly time off work. Also, although you play into form, you are just as likely to get a bit of burn out if you play all the days, especially living out of a hotel. And of course if you are decent player you may qualify through on day 1 and then be sat around for a few days anyway.thegentle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 2:49 pm Something which I don't believe was posted is that regional tour winners in the Nordic/Baltic region, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia will go through automatically to the final stage of Q-School next year. The commentors thought that Spellman looked a little burnt out at teh Modus after a couple of weeks of constant playing

Re: 2024 PDC Affiliate Tours
This is a step in the right direction I would personally up this further to invite the top 4 from each to give these regions even more to play for. If they are not gunna up the TC places by challenge tour would also like them to up that so that the top 32 (other the top 2 card winners) automatically are into the last 128. Make the first stage far harder to get through points wise and reward people who actually put in the effort into doing PDC/affiliate tours.thegentle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2024 2:49 pm Something which I don't believe was posted is that regional tour winners in the Nordic/Baltic region, North America, Australia, New Zealand and Asia will go through automatically to the final stage of Q-School next year.
